Question:
Do any of the nonprofits take electronics (computers, tvs, radios, etc…) ?

Answer:
At this time, our charity partners do not accept tube or CRT televisions. Radios and computers vary by charity. For a full list of acceptable items, please click here.

Question:
How do I donate larger furniture items (like beds, mattresses, entertainment center, couch, chair, tables, etc…)?

Answer:
Most nonprofits accept small furniture items like end tables, coffee tables, entertainment centers (and other wood furniture), however many do not take large furniture items like mattresses or upholstered furniture (including leather).

Question:
Do any of the partners pickup from apartments or condos?

Answer:
Many charity partners do not. However if you schedule your pickup using GoodDonor.org, when you receive your confirmation email you can simply call the number listed in the email to confirm directly with the nonprofit who’s scheduled to pickup your donation. Our charity partners will not be able to enter your residence to move your items for you.

Question:
How does the scheduling work?

Answer:
Each charity parnter includes their pickup dates based on zip code. You can schedule based on any pickup date or a specific charity partner you want.
If you don’t see your desired charity parnter, they may not currently have a pickup date for your zip code entered into Good Donor.

Once you have scheduled a pickup, you will receive a confirmation email. Please note that the pickup may occur any time between 7 AM-7 PM local time, depending on the number of pickups the charity has scheduled in your area for that day. If your items are not picked up by 7 PM, please contact us.

Question:
I’d like to cancel, reschedule or notify the charity partner they missed my pickup.

Answer:
Login to your Good Donor account and click the My Donations’ tab.

Once there, you’ll see all donations you’ve scheduled.
You can cancel, reschedule or notify the charity they missed your pickup by clicking the appropriate button.

Question:
Tax receipts – how do I get mine?

Answer:
Login to your Good Donor profile and click the My Donations tab.

Once your donation has been picked up the appropriate tax receipt will be available in the My Donations tab of your Good Donor profile.

Question:
Can I choose my own pickup date?

Answer:
All pickup dates are provided by the charity partners and are based on your zip code. If you don’t see a pickup date, then our charity partners currently don’t have a pickup date for your zip code.
